JJBS Funerals

All of the JJBS cemeteries primarily serves the London synagogues, however, national synagogues are welcome to use these facilities.

The Woodland Cemetery – An environmentally friendly space surrounded by native trees and plants. The graves are marked only with a small ground level plaque, mostly double-depth, but singles are available.

The Woodland Lawn – An area where only an upright stone is allowed for double depth burials.

The Western Cemetery – JJBS has burial rights at this cemetery, and can organise a conventional grave.

Cremation – Cremation services are usually arranged to be at Golders Green Crematorium Hoop Lane. However, other venues may be used. Remains can then be transferred to the Woodland Cemetery which has a columbarium building in a separate landscaped area where cremated remains may be interred with a memorial plaque.

Non Jewish Partners – JJBS can arrange to bury Jewish people with their non-Jewish partners in line with the fundamental progressive Jewish value of inclusiveness. These burials take place in double-depth graves in either the woodland or lawn sections of the Cemetery.
